On Tuesday, Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi hit at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Rafale jet deal.
Earlier, the Congress chief cited an email to claim the businessman was aware of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) before India signed the deal with France. Rahul Gandhi’s severe attack towards PM Modi came a day after the reports of corruption in the 36-jet deal was out.

Congress chief said that “The Prime Minister is acting as Anil Ambani’s middleman,’ While addressing the media, Rahul Gandhi said that “National security has been compromised. An MoU is known to a businessman before it is drafted before anybody else. Like I said, the Prime Minister has done something that spies do,”
As per reports, Anil Ambani had met the French defence minister days before the signing of the deal during PM Modi’s visit to France in 2015. Congress chief also hit at national auditor CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General ) and rejected the report on the Rafale deal and called it as “Chowkidar Auditor General report”.
Congress claims that the government has finalized an overpriced deal for 36 Rafale fighter jet at an higher price to benefit Anil Ambani, whose firm was recommended as an offset partner for Dassault. But then the allegations were denied by both Dassault and the government.
