On Thursday, the Chinese handset maker OnePlus announced that soon they would reveal a reversed USB Type-C wired earphones for Rs 1,490 in India along with their new arrival, OnePlus 6T towards the end of 2018.
In a statement, the company said, the new type-C “Bullets” aims at delivering a superior sound and would be a step up from “Bullets V2.”
In addition, the earbuds of the new would follow a metal design and aramid fibre will be added to the wire to make the device more durable and resistant to stretching.
The Type-C “Bullets” are adjustable with any Type C USB port and this will help the OnePlus users to alter the sound enhancement configuration for a more customized sound. In order to provide improved sound quality, a built-in high-end professional digital-to-analog converter by Ciruss Logic will be added.
When compared to the standard 3.5mm jack that uses analogue, the device has higher dynamic range. The type C headphones guarantee minimal loss of quality for a superior audio outcome.
The company is likely to introduce a successor to OnePlus 6 smartphone with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei said, “”It [removing the headphone jack] was a very controversial decision. We’re not doing it for the sake of doing it and because everyone else is. We believe now is the right time, as it’ll benefit the majority of our users while keeping the downside low. We knew this was an option for a very long time, we were just waiting for the right time.”
The announcement comes immediately when Pie said that they would be killing the headphone jack in its next handset.
